TagMaster provides a full-range of high performance RFID products operating in the licence free 2.45GHz band. Readers using backscattering techniques identify semi-passive ID-Tags,which are always active and thus requiring no start-up time. The readers can operate as stand-alone units or be controlled by a host.

With the comprehensive development system available it is possible to customise the reader firmware as well as the host software.

TAGS

The credit card sized ID-Tag consists of an antenna for transmission and reception, a memory circuit and a long-life battery. All tags have an 8-digit unique identification code and a 32-bit check sum. TagMaster supply tags that are read-only or a read-write, the latter intended as datacarriers. The number of times the tags are read does not affect power consumption, which means a predictable tag life of 6, 8 or 10 years.

When a reliable tag is needed for normal applications, a standard 1200 series tag is the preferred choice. The slim credit card sized tag is only 3mm thick making it suitable for AVI applications where the tag is mounted inside the vehicle.

S1255 MarkTag - a read-only tag that supports multiple tags in the reading lobe.

S1260 CombiTag - a tag supporting both TagMaster long-range RFID technology and close range proximity technology - all in one affordable card! The CombiTag comes in several different colours.

For objects such as containers, trucks or rail wagons, a Outdoor Heavy Duty tag is the right choice. It is totally encapsulated to IP67 and resistant to external environmental factors such as high/low temperature, moist and shock.

S1456 SpeedTag - a read-only tag specially designed for high passage speeds, up to 400 km/h.

For hazardous areas requiring ATEX approved tags our range of EX tags are the right choice. It is approved to EEx ia IIC T4 totally encapsulated to IP67 and resistant to external environmental factors such as high/low temperature, moisture and shock.

READERS

The new TagMaster generation 4 readers incorporate an antenna, a transmitter, a receiver, a computer function to process and store information, and a physical interface for communication with other systems. The standard interfaces are RS232/RS485, Ethernet (TCP/IP), Wiegand/mag-stripe. The mechanical protection is IP65 and the operating voltage 10-30VDC

The S1510 Handheld is an ultra-compact read/write unit and industrial Pocket PC/PDA combination with 1m/3ft reading range and infrared (IR) interface. Suitable for applications where there is a need for flexibility and movability.

The Heavy Duty reader is especially designed for use in harsh environments such as track or train mounting in rail applications. Up to 6m/ 20ft reading range. Operates at 12 VDC.

The S1569 HD Track Reader is designed for railway applications where the reader is mounted on the track. Due to the robust and compact mechanical design the reader can be mounted directly onto the sleeper. The unique built-in direction detector can be used to determine the direction of a passing train and also in a cases where the train has no ID-Tag.

APPLICATION SOFTWARE

ConfiTrack is a standard access application for Windows, which is able to manage up to eight LR6 WiseMan readers and 15,000 tags/users per reader. Readers can operate stand-alone to control gates. Confitrack supports alarm management, report printing, passwords.
