How it Works

The Smarteye system consists of a sender and receiver pair mounted on opposite sides of the label. The sender unit emits modulated infrared light which passes through the slots in the label. The receiver unit contains three sensors which detect the transitions of the incomming light as the slotted label passes.  The outputs of which are connected by a single cable to a controller which converts these transition signels into the label code. By using  sophisticated algorithims, Hamming code and parity checking data integrity is assured.

Minimal installation, maintenance and operational Costs

Free from moving parts, the system can provide a very high level of reliability with little or no maintenance.
